Who I am
Digital Ads Audit is run by Sam Frost in New Zealand. This policy explains how I handle personal information under the Privacy Act 2020. References to “I” and “me” mean Sam Frost and Digital Ads Audit.
What I collect
When you send an enquiry through the contact form, I collect:
- your name and business email address
- your website address
- which ad platforms you use, your approximate monthly ad spend and who manages your campaigns
- anything you tell me about your concerns with your current advertising
If you go ahead with an audit, you give me temporary, read-only access to your ad accounts. Those accounts can contain business performance data and, depending on your setup, information about your own customers, such as conversion data or uploaded audience lists.
Why I collect it
I use your information to reply to your enquiry, decide whether a paid audit is worthwhile for you, prepare a quote and carry out the audit. I don’t sell your information, and I won’t add you to a mailing list.
Who else handles it
A few service providers handle information on my behalf. Some of them store or process it outside New Zealand:
- Formspark receives and stores the details you submit through the enquiry form.
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the form is being filled in by a person, not a bot. To do this it looks at technical information about your browser and device.
- My website host may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and browser types, to run and secure the site.
I only share your information beyond these providers if you ask me to, or if the law requires it.
Cookies and tracking
This site doesn’t use analytics, advertising pixels or tracking cookies. Fonts are served from this site, not from a third party.
Access to your ad accounts
Account access is read-only and used only for your audit. You stay in control of it: you can remove my access at any time, and I recommend you do once the audit is delivered.
How long I keep it
I keep your information only for as long as I need it to respond to you, deliver the audit and keep the business records the law requires. After that I delete it.
Keeping it secure
I take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access, and I limit access to what the audit needs.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you and ask me to correct it. To make a request, use the contact form and say it’s a privacy request. I’ll respond as soon as I can, and within 20 working days.
If you’re not happy with how I’ve handled your information, please let me know first so I can try to put it right. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
Changes to this policy
If I change how I handle personal information, I’ll update this page and the date at the top.
